Saturday, August 13, 7 p.m.Chris Ewan will read from and sign and his newest book, The Good Thief's Guide to Venice. The Good Thief’s Guide series of comic mystery novels follow the adventures of Charlie Howard, globetrotting crime writer and professional burglar-for-hire, and his friend and literary agent, Victoria Newbury. In The Good Thief's Guide to Venice, Charlie is attempting, to little avail, to give up thievery and concentrate on writing. This proves to be difficult, indeed. Chris Ewan was born in Taunton, England. His first novel, The Good Thief's Guide to Amsterdam, won the Long Barn Books First Novel Award and both Amsterdam and The Good Thief's Guide to Paris have been shortlisted for CrimeFest's Last Laugh Award, both U.K.-based awards. He lives in a small village in the Isle of Man with his wife, Jo, and their labrador, Maisie, where he spends his days planning imaginary burglaries and learning how to pick locks. His neighbours are thrilled. |
