Exploring apocalyptic anticipation during the first dozen years of the twenty-first century, Gross and co-author Mel Gilles explain why these beliefs are surging within the American mainstream. From the book of Revelation to global warming and the predicted end of civilization, we live in a culture obsessed by the belief that the end is near. Gross is a new media strategist and consultant for numerous political campaigns, advocacy organizations - the man behind Howard Dean's internet strategy in his bid for the presidency in 2004. Author of the The Glen Canyon Reader, he lives in Moab, Utah.
