About the Author
Born in Scotland in 1850, Robert Louis Stevenson studied both engineering and law before embarking on a career as a writer. His most popular works include "Treasure Island," "Kidnapped," "Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," and "A Child's Garden of Verses," and he also wrote numerous travel essays from his voyages around the world, particularly the South Pacific."
