I Was a Teenage Runt (Paperback)
The stories are unusual, yet strangely common to us all-from his childhood as a Little Leaguer ("A League of Our Own") to his later brushes with celebrity ("She Who Shall Not Be Named"); from his first car ("Lil' Blue") to his first hangover ("The Russians are Coming Up"). While the majority of stories are funny, some delve into his more serious side; but without being maudlin or wallowing in self-pity. "Sis," "Journey On," and "The Block" tell of the author's self-discovery through his hard knocks and "A-ha" moments. There are laughs, tears, and an occasional gut punch - all delivered with hilarity - and sometimes a hanky.
