Camille T. Dungy & Jason Olsen

This event is free and open to the public and will take place at the The Kim T. Adamson Alumni House at Westminster College, 1170 Blaine Ave, Salt Lake City.

As part of the Anne Newman Sutton Weeks Poetry Series, Camille T. Dungy and Jason Olsen will read from and discuss their works. 

Camille T. Dungy is the author of the essay collection Guidebook to Relative Strangers: Journeys into Race, Motherhood and History, a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award and four collections of poetry, most recently Trophic Cascade. She has also edited anthologies including Black Nature: Four Centuries of African American Nature Poetry. Her honors include NEA Fellowships in both poetry and prose, an American Book Award, two Northern California Book Awards and two NAACP Image Award nominations. She is a professor at Colorado State University.

Jason Olsen, originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, teaches writing and literature at Utah State University Eastern in Price, Utah. His first book, Parakeet: A Poem of Opportunity, was released in 2017, and his poems and stories have been widely published.
