TKE is proud to present an in person event with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, Heather Gay, who will discuss her new memoir, Bad Mormon.
This event is ticketed and you must purchase your ticket on Eventbrite here. Your $35 ticket includes one hardcover autographed copy of Bad Mormon and entrance for one adult to the event.
MILK+ is a bar and all attendees MUST be 21 years of age or older to attend. The doors will open at 5 p.m.
About the book:
Born and bred to be a devout Mormon, Heather based her life around her faith. She attended Brigham Young University, served a mission in France, married into Mormon royalty in the temple, and had 3 daughters. But her life as a good Mormon abruptly ended when she lost the marriage and faith that she had once believed would last forever.
Heather recounts the difficult discovery of the darkness and damage that often exists behind a picture-perfect life, while examining the nuanced relationship between duty to self and duty to God. Leaving no stone unturned, Heather exposes secrets surrounding the practices, beliefs, and temple rituals of the Mormon church.
Bad Mormon works to reconcile cultural and religious beliefs, with shifting ideologies about the world. Heather’s is a story of honesty and transparency in a community where skeletons are always hiding in the closet.
