Holly Tucker | Blood Work

Wednesday, March 16, 7 p.m.

Holly Tucker will read from and sign her new book, Blood Work: A Tale of Medicine and Murder in the Scientific Revolution, a fascinating history of blood transfusion and how it became embroiled in contentious religious and ethical debates in 17th-century Europe.

Tucker is an associate professor at Vanderbilt University’s Center for Medicine, Health & Society and the Department of French & Italian.

In conjunction with this event, we are supporting the American Red Cross in our own community by participating in Writers for the Red Cross. Please look for the donation jar in our store during the month of March.

Order an inscribed book to be shipped and Holly will donate 10% of the proceeds to Writers for the Red Cross and we will ship it, ground, for free!
