Join author Mickey George for a live, in-person event to celebrate the release of her debut graphic novel, The Heart Hunter (written under the nom de plume, Mickey George). Mickey will be in conversation with the co-founders of the YA and Wine Book Group, Krysti Meyer and Sarah Longhurst.
This free, in-person event will take place at the Eagle Gate Apartment courtyard, located at 109 East South Temple Street, Salt Lake City. Parking instructions below. Books will be available to purchase at the event.
On the cursed island of Envecor, everyone is doomed to wear their heart outside their bodies, and are immortal—unable to die, to change, to have children— until they find their soul mate. Paired soul mates are then turned mortal, freed from the curse, and able to leave. But all fairy tales have a dark side: those who don’t want to lose their immortality pay “Heart Hunters” to find their soul mates and kill them so they may remain immortal. Psyche, a Heart Hunter, is hired by the king to kill his soulmate. As she sets out on her quest, she begins her own journey of mending her broken heart and learning to trust again.
There will be validated parking at the Eagle Gate Apartment lot. The entrance is on South Temple Street.
If you can't find a spot in the parking lot, you can also park at City Creek Mall (first two hours are free) or at Eagle Gate Terrace Parking ($1 for the first hour, $2 per hour after that).
Follow the signs and balloons to the courtyard and launch party, on the State Street/northwest side of the building.
