Rasoul Shams will read from and sign his new anthology of Rumi's poems, Rumi: The Art of Loving, and share his impressions of the poet's life and vision.
Shams is the director of the Rumi Poetry Club, founded in 2007 in Salt Lake City. He first learned of Rumi's poems in his Persian classes as a young boy, and the works of Rumi and other Persian poets have been his spiritual companions for over three decades. With his life and education rooted in both East and West, his book brings fresh insight into the work and mind of a thirteenth-century master poet who mapped the path of spiritual quest and painted in words the art of loving and joyful living.
