Read Local Onsite | Stephen Trimble & David Pace

This event is free and open to the public and will take place at the Finch Lane Gallery at 54 Finch Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84102.

A collaboration between Salt Lake City Arts Council and 15 Bytes with support from Utah Humanities, READ LOCAL Onsite pairs emerging local writers with established writers for a reading and discussion of their work. This event features authors Stephen Trimble and David Pace and moderated by 15 Bytes Literary Editor Calvin Jolley. 

Stephen Trimble has been a freelance writer and photographer since the 1970s. The breadth of his awards mirrors the wide embrace of his work: The Sierra Club's Ansel Adams Award for  photography and conservation, The National Cowboy Museum’s Western Heritage ‘Wrangler’ Award; and a Doctor of Humane Letters from his alma mater, Colorado College. His 25th book, The Capitol Reef Reader, will appear this spring from the University of Utah Press.

David Pace is a fiction and creative nonfiction writer based in Salt Lake City. His debut novel Dream House on Golan Drive (Signature Books) was published in 2015. His other creative work has appeared
in Quarterly West, Ellipsis, Alligator Juniper, Dialogue, and Sunstone among other journals. His book-length manuscript Cold Desert: An Interstate 80 Picaresque won 2nd place in the 2018 Utah
Original Writing Competition in creative nonfiction. His is co-literary editor of 15 Bytes, Utah's Arts Magazine.
